Georgia Chatzopoulou
Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Clinical Educator of the 1st Regional Health Authority of Attica
My name is Georgia Chatzopoulou, and I am a Registered Nurse with more than 14 years of clinical experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). My scientific and professional interests focus on emergency and critical care, neurocritical support, as well as cardiac surgery care and advanced cardiopulmonary applications.
I am a graduate of the Department of Nursing in Athens and hold two Master of Science degrees from Medical Schools: one from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki titled “Advanced Cardiopulmonary Applications – Extracorporeal Circulation Techniques,” and one from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Intensive Care Units and Emergency Nursing. In addition, I am currently a PhD Candidate in Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
I worked in the ICU of Evangelismos General Hospital (2011–2021), and since 2021 I have been serving in the Neurosurgical Unit of G. Gennimatas General Hospital. During the period 2021–2024, I served as a Clinical Educator for the specialty “Emergency and Critical Care Nursing” of the 1st Regional Health Authority of Attica, and since 2024 I have been appointed Deputy Education Coordinator for the same specialty.
I maintain active scientific engagement through publications in international journals and participation in conferences, and I am a member of the editorial team of the Health and Research Journal. My continuing education includes certifications and specialized training programs in emergency, critical care, neurocritical, and cardiac surgery nursing.
