  • Eleni Ioan. Antoniadou
    Eleni Ioan. Antoniadou
    MSc (administration), PhD (education), member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities of the World Health Organization

    Dr. Eleni Antoniadou was born in the Prefecture of Grevena and studied in Thessaloniki. She holds a Master’s degree in Administration and a PhD in Education.

    She has participated in scientific conferences and has published articles in academic journals as well as in literary editions. She has written song lyrics that were set to music, including “DiAnoia” and “Eighth Day,” among others.

    She has an extensive record of volunteer and social work in child and elderly care structures, as well as scientific work in the field of intergenerational studies. She has undertaken and successfully completed numerous initiatives aimed at raising awareness on issues of age resilience and healthy development, designing and implementing a series of actions addressed to groups within Institutions and Organizations.

    She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities of the World Health Organization.

    She was elected Municipal Councilor of Thessaloniki in 2023. She serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Infant Center of Thessaloniki “Agios Stylianos.”

    She is also a member of the Equality and Human Rights Committee of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece. She works at the Region of Central Macedonia and is the mother of two children.

    Christos Voucharas
    Specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Aristotle University

    Dr. Christos Voucharas is a Specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. He holds a PhD from the University of Thessaly and completed dual postdoctoral research appointments at Aristotle University. Licensed to practice medicine in both Greece and Germany, his clinical and research interests include coronary artery, valve and great vessel surgery, beating heart surgery, digital biomarkers in heart failure, ischemic preconditioning of the myocardium, and postconditioning of the human brain. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Federation for Medical Research (AFMR). He has served as Local Principal Investigator for the LAAOS III study, Principal Investigator for the RIGBDE trial, and is a founding member and former President of the Alzheimer Society, as well as a member of the Dementia Federation in Greece. Dedicated to community service, he also provides voluntary support for the elderly, disabled, and individuals with mental health issues and intellectual disability through art and creative engagement.

    Marianna Paparnaki
    Physiotherapist at the Greek Association of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders

    Marianna Paparnaki is a graduate of the Department of Physiotherapy at the International Hellenic University (IHU) and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in ‘Applied Gerontology and Geriatrics’ from the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Professionally, she practices as a Physiotherapist at the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders. Her research and clinical interests are specialized in geriatric and neurological physiotherapy. Ms. Paparnaki has actively participated in numerous scientific conferences focused on Geriatrics, as well as the management and rehabilitation of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Furthermore, she has completed specialized seminars on advanced physiotherapeutic techniques for neuromusculoskeletal disorders.

  • Dimitrios Filos
    Dimitrios Filos
    Electrical and Computer Engineer

    Dimitrios Filos is an Electrical and Computer Engineer. He holds a Master’s degree in Medical Informatics and a PhD from the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). His doctoral research focused on the multilevel modeling and analysis of atrial biosignals in atrial fibrillation. Since 2021, he has been a Laboratory Reader in the English-language undergraduate program of the School of Medicine at AUTH, and has delivered lectures on biosignal, biomedical imaging, and clinical data analysis as well as the development of artificial intelligence applications, in postgraduate programs organized by the School of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering at AUTH. His research interests include the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning methods in healthcare, aiming to improve clinical decision-making and support personalized medicine, with a particular focus on cancer and cardiovascular diseases. His activities include designing and implementing methods for the management, processing, and analysis of biosignals, biomedical imaging, and clinical data. He develops and applies analytical approaches that combine machine learning techniques, domain knowledge, and computational modeling, contributing to advances in computational medicine and digital health. A key goal is translating these methods into clinical research, digital health applications, and clinical decision support systems. He has been involved in more than 15 EU-funded or nationally funded research projects. He has co-authored scientific papers published in international journals, conferences, and book chapters. Finally, he serves as a reviewer and associate editor for various international scientific journals.

  • Georgia Chatzopoulou
    Georgia Chatzopoulou
    Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Clinical Educator of the 1st Regional Health Authority of Attica

    My name is Georgia Chatzopoulou, and I am a Registered Nurse with more than 14 years of clinical experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). My scientific and professional interests focus on emergency and critical care, neurocritical support, as well as cardiac surgery care and advanced cardiopulmonary applications.
    I am a graduate of the Department of Nursing in Athens and hold two Master of Science degrees from Medical Schools: one from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki titled “Advanced Cardiopulmonary Applications – Extracorporeal Circulation Techniques,” and one from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Intensive Care Units and Emergency Nursing. In addition, I am currently a PhD Candidate in Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
    I worked in the ICU of Evangelismos General Hospital (2011–2021), and since 2021 I have been serving in the Neurosurgical Unit of G. Gennimatas General Hospital. During the period 2021–2024, I served as a Clinical Educator for the specialty “Emergency and Critical Care Nursing” of the 1st Regional Health Authority of Attica, and since 2024 I have been appointed Deputy Education Coordinator for the same specialty.
    I maintain active scientific engagement through publications in international journals and participation in conferences, and I am a member of the editorial team of the Health and Research Journal. My continuing education includes certifications and specialized training programs in emergency, critical care, neurocritical, and cardiac surgery nursing.

  • Kristian Nirka
    Kristian Nirka
    Stage director, litterateur, founder of itravelpoetry and masterART

    Christian Nirka is the founder of itravelpoetry, one of the largest literary websites in Greece. He has published three poetry collections and has been awarded in numerous literary competitions in Greece and abroad.

    He is also the founder of the online seminar platform MasterART, where he produced Master Classes in creative writing with prominent authors such as Alkyoni Papadaki, Stefanos Xenakis, Kostas Krommydas, and Stefanos Dandolos.

    He has translated poems from English and French, as well as the poetry collection of Alexandr Lebedev from Russian into Greek (50 poems). He speaks English, French, Russian, and Romanian, and studied law in Strasbourg.

    In cinema, he has written two short films and one documentary, and has directed five short films, one feature-length documentary, and one feature film. In theatre, he has written and directed two plays.
