Charalampos Zachariadis
4th Year Electrical & Computer Engineering at University of Thessaly
Charalampos Zachariadis is an Integrated Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Thessaly. Growing up in Volos, where clear, starry nights are a common phenomenon, sparked a deep passion in him for astronomy and physics. This early fascination inspired him to bridge his engineering studies with the field of aerospace. Consequently, he founded and currently leads StarBound, a university aerospace student team. StarBound is a multidisciplinary group, and their current goal is the design and development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to compete in the global UAS Challenge 2026. These collaborative experiences also cultivated his strong interest in teaching and academic service. As a result, he has served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for multiple subjects and currently holds the position of Vice Chair at the IEEE Student Branch of Volos, a leading organization dedicated to advancing technology across academia and industry. Ultimately, his core research interests encompass avionics, embedded systems, and hardware design, driven by a passion for integrating engineering solutions into both aerospace and everyday applications
