Laganis Andreas
Head of Dry Lab of iGEM Thessaly
Andreas Laganis is an undergraduate (4th-year) student in the Digital Systems Department of the University of Thessaly. He is a member of the undergraduate research iGEM team of the University of Thessaly since 2026, serving as Head of Dry Lab, with a focus on computationally-guided protein design and biological modelling. His work involves the application of AI-driven structural biology tools for de novo protein generation, as well as the development and oversight of the team's software pipelines. Since 2025, he manages the department's AI student team and oversees its AI/ML compute infrastructure, coordinating resource allocation and supporting machine learning workflows across various projects.
