Argyrios Tzamalis
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Dr Argyrios Tzamalis is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in cornea, ocular surface disease, and oculoplastic surgery. He completed his medical degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued advanced ophthalmic training in Greece, Switzerland, and Germany. He holds a PhD in Ophthalmology from the University of Basel and a master’s degree (MA) in Health Care Management from the Open University of Cyprus. Dr Tzamalis completed a corneal fellowship at St. Paul’s Eye Unit, Liverpool, with a focus on keratoconus and corneal transplantation, and an honorary adnexal fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in research, academic teaching, and international scientific collaboration.
