    Professor of Educational Psychology and Human Development and Chair, School of Psychology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

    Eleftheria N. Gonida studied Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium (Msc) and obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology from AUTh, graduating with honors. Her research interests include achievement motivation, self-regulated learning, cognitive and metacognitive development, parental involvement in children’s school life, and teacher professional development (mental health literacy and digital literacy). She recently began exploring how Aristotelian ‘Paideia’ can help us tackle global educational challenges and promote sustainable learning and youth resilience (PI of the Hellenic Team in the 2025-2026 NEH-HFRI Collaborative Research Grant, Aristotelian ‘Paideia’ and Global Educational Challenges: Revisiting the Past to Plan for Sustainable Education in the 21st-Century). Her work has been published in peer-reviewed international and national scientific journals and edited volumes and presented at numerous international and national scientific conferences. Dr. Gonida has given invited talks to Canada, Finland, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Serbia and USA. She is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific series ‘Advances in Motivation and Achievement’, member of the editorial board of the scientific journals European Journal of Psychology of Education, Metacognition and Learning, and the Journal of Experimental Education, and served as evaluator for the National Research Councils of Finland, Italy, France, Portugal, and Cyprus. She is a Fulbright Scholar (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 2012), President of the Fulbright Scholars of Northern Greece, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI, 2019–2023). She organized the International Conference on Motivation (2016), the Panhellenic Conference on School Psychology (2022), and the 20th EARLI Conference (2023, the largest conference in the association’s history), which was named the Hallmark Congress of the Year by the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau, and she was awarded the honorary title of Thessaloniki Ambassador 2023. Dr. Gonida has long administrative experience at AUTh (Erasmus Co-ordinator at the School of Psychology for more than 25 years, EPICUR co-ordinator at the School of Psychology, Chair of the European Educational Programs Committee for five years, member of the Research Ethics Committee for three years, current member of the Scientific Committee of the Teaching and Learning Center and EC member of the Child Care Center).

    Professor of Pediatrics - Pediatric Endocrinology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine

    Professor Assimina Galli-Tsinopoulou is a graduate of the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a PhD from the School of Medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

    She obtained her specialization in Pediatrics following clinical training at the Pediatric Clinic of Haunersches Kinderspital, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, and at the 2nd Department of Pediatrics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
    She further specialized in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Endocrinology Department of the Pediatric Clinic of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and in Diabetology at the Diabetes Center of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds official certification as both a Pediatric Endocrinologist and Pediatric Diabetologist in Greece.

    In addition, she received specialized training in Adolescent Health Care through the European Training Seminar on Adolescent Care and Health at the University of Lausanne, in collaboration with the World Health Organization.

    Since 2002, she has been a member of the Teaching and Research Staff of the School of Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, initially serving as a Lecturer in Pediatrics–Pediatric Endocrinology and currently as a Professor. She coordinates the undergraduate course “Adolescent Medicine” and teaches Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

    Professor Galli-Tsinopoulou has an extensive clinical and research record, with numerous publications in national and international medical journals. She has authored chapters in medical textbooks on Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, and Pediatric Diabetology, and has edited a textbook on Adolescent Medicine. She also serves as a reviewer for international medical journals and as an editor of special issues.
    Her scientific work has been recognized with several awards, including a distinction from the Academy of Athens.

    She currently serves as President of the Academy for Education and Research in Pediatrics, Secretary of the Hellenic HPV Society, and Secretary General of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolism. She has previously served as President of the Pediatric Society of Northern Greece and has been an active member of various scientific boards. She is also a member of international scientific societies, including the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD).
    She has contributed as a representative of the Pediatrics course to the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has participated in institutional committees related to education and evaluation.

    Professor Galli-Tsinopoulou has organized and participated in numerous conferences and research initiatives focusing on pediatric endocrinology and adolescent medicine. She is currently involved in the Learning Pathways Adolescence 360° initiative of the EPICUR Alliance (European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions).

    Since September 2019, she has served as Director of the 2nd Department of Pediatrics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at AHEPA University General Hospital.
    Since February 2021, she has also been Director of the MSc Program “Adolescent Medicine and Adolescent Health Care” at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

    Eleni P Kotanidou is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics-Adolescent Medicine in the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. After her medical degree from the Aristotle University School of Medicine, she has been trained in Pediatrics in her medical residency program, and has been board-certified in Pediatric Endocrinology as subspecialty pediatric training, in Greece. She pursued postgraduate, master and doctorate studies in Adolescent Medicine and in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology with a special focus on adolescent obesity in the Aristotle University, Thessaloniki and the Paris-Saclay University, France. She completed the Clinical Fellowship Program “Endocrinology and Metabolism of Children and Adolescents” in the 2nd Department of Pediatrics, Aristotle University School of Medicine, Greece.
    She teaches Adolescent Medicine in pregraduate medical students in the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is also faculty member of the Program of Postgraduate Studies “Adolescent Medicine and Adolescent Health Care” of the Aristotle University School of Medicine, which offers training in adolescent medicine to health care professionals, psychologists and teachers.
    She cares for adolescents in the 2nd Department of Pediatrics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at AHEPA University Hospital, a tertiary Pediatrics Clinic. She has a special clinical interest in the health of adolescents childhood cancer survivors regarding their endocrine late effects and also in the care of adolescents with overweight and obesity. In research, she focuses on adolescent obesity and prediabetes and on endocrine late effects of childhood cancer survivors. She is a mother of three adolescent girls.

    Martin H. Daumiller
    Professor of Educational Psychology, Head of the Department of Educational Psychology, University of Freiburg

    Professor Dr. Martin H. Daumiller heads the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Freiburg since September 1, 2025; prior to this, he was a professor at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He completed his habilitation in 2021 at the University of Augsburg and has conducted research, among other places, at the University of Rochester (USA), McGill University (Canada), Korea University (South Korea), and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). He has received multiple international awards (including the Eric De Corte Award 2023 and the Robert J. Menges Award 2020) and is known for research that systematically translates psychological insights into the design of effective learning, teaching, and work processes.

    His research focuses on motivation, self-regulation, feedback, and professional development in education and academia. Methodologically, he combines experimental, longitudinal, and network-analytic approaches and works closely with schools, universities, and continuing education institutions. He is the author of more than 100 international peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous book chapters, and he leads several externally funded research projects (currently, among others, two DFG projects on academic cheating behavior and researchers’ motivation). His work is regularly published in leading international journals such as Journal of Educational Psychology, Learning and Instruction, Contemporary Educational Psychology, and Educational Psychology Review.

    Professor Daumiller is the Coordinator of the EARLI SIG “Motivation and Emotion,” an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Educational Psychology, and is active in numerous international research networks. In addition to his university teaching, he regularly leads professional development programs for teachers, university faculty, and educational institutions.

    Alice Caron-Radmacher is a French Language and Literature instructor with extensive experience in secondary and higher education since 2008. She currently teaches within the EPICUR European University and the University of Strasbourg in the “Adolescence 360o” Learning Pathway and the course “Adolescent Immigrants”. She has also served as a French instructor and academic advisor at Strasbourg University. She holds a Master’s degree in Literature from the University of Lille III with highest honors, as well as a diploma in medical delegation from the University of Medicine Lille II. In addition to her academic career, she has pursued further training in psychosomatic studies and caregiving. She is actively engaged in community initiatives, including volunteering as a book club facilitator and supporting charitable organizations. She is recognized for her rigor, coordination skills, pedagogical engagement, and commitment to international and interdisciplinary projects.

    Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

    Dr Argyrios Tzamalis is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in cornea, ocular surface disease, and oculoplastic surgery. He completed his medical degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued advanced ophthalmic training in Greece, Switzerland, and Germany. He holds a PhD in Ophthalmology from the University of Basel and a master’s degree (MA) in Health Care Management from the Open University of Cyprus. Dr Tzamalis completed a corneal fellowship at St. Paul’s Eye Unit, Liverpool, with a focus on keratoconus and corneal transplantation, and an honorary adnexal fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in research, academic teaching, and international scientific collaboration.
