Nikoletta Tsitsanoudis Mallidis
Nikoletta Tsitsanoudis Mallidis Dean of the School of Education, University of Ioannina N. Tsitsanoudis-Mallidis is Professor of Linguistics and Greek Language at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Ioannina and Dean of the School of Education. She has served as an Associate in Linguistics and as a member of the Interdisciplinary Advisory Committee at the Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece, Harvard University, as well as a member of the Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston. She is the author and/or editor of 20 books, some of which are used as university textbooks. The book Fovoglossa (co-authored with N. Prevelakis) has been adopted as a textbook in courses at Boston University and Macquarie University. She received the "Distinguished Researcher and Reviewer" Award from the Untested Ideas Research Center. She has served as a visiting lecturer in the Harvard - Olympia Program. She is the founder and director of the International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media”. She organized and directed training programs for executives of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) and the Training Unit of the Laboratory for the Study of Social Issues, Media, and Education. Her monograph Greek Media Discourse: From the Reconstitution of Democracy to the Memorandums of Understanding was published by the Hellenic Studies Monograph Series of the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University and is distributed by Harvard University Press. She serves as Vice President of the Committee for the Greek State Awards for Children's Books.
