Eleni Maraki-Beladaki
Eleni Maraki-Beladaki Vice-Governor for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Region of Crete, Founder and President of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (I.A.K.E.) Dr. Eleni Maraki-Beladaki serves as the Vice-Governor for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Region of Crete and is the Founder and President of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (I.A.K.E.). She holds a Ph.D. in the Sociology of Education from the University of Ioannina and a Master’s degree in Educational Organization and Administration from the University of the Aegean. She is a graduate in Sociology from the Department of Social Studies of the University of Crete and a graduate in Pedagogical Sciences for Primary Education, with two years of post-graduate specialization. Her academic contribution includes serving as a Distance Learning Professor at the University of Nicosia, alongside three consecutive years of teaching within Special Education programs at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2012, she has also been an instructor at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (E.K.D.D.A.), where she has completed over one thousand hours in adult education. Furthermore, she has served as the Head of the Educational and Counseling Support Center of Heraklion and has held the position of School Advisor in Primary Education from 2007 to the present. In addition, she has served as the Head of the Educational and Counseling Support Center of Heraklion and has been serving as a School Advisor in Primary Education from 2007 to the present. As an accomplished author and researcher, she has published many books and articles focusing on gender equality in education, school bullying, and the integration of ICT in Education, while concurrently leading various international Erasmus+ partnerships.
