Evangelos G. Malkakis
Evangelos G. Malkakis Head of the Environment and Water Economy Department of the Regional Unit of Drama Evangelos G. Malkakis is an environmental scientist with extensive experience in public administration, specializing in environmental permitting, management, and inspection. Since 2011, he has served as Head of the Department of Environment and Water Resources of the Regional Unit of Drama, contributing to the design and implementation of environmental policies. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Education and has strong expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In 2015, he received an Honourable Mention and a Good Practice Title in Maastricht, within the framework of the European Public Sector Awards by the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), for the development of an innovative environmental GIS and decision-support system in the Greek public sector.
