Maria Meng-Papantoni

Maria Meng-Papantoni is Professor of European Law at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations. She also serves as Director of the European Center of Economic and Criminal Law. Her academic and research work focuses on European economic law, internal market law, European energy law, and the legal dimensions of the green transition and sustainable development. She has participated in international conferences, academic networks, and European research projects, while collaborating with universities and academic institutions across Europe and internationally. Her work particularly addresses contemporary challenges related to European integration, innovation, institutional resilience, and the interaction between law, economics, and technology. Within her academic and administrative roles, she is actively engaged with issues concerning the internationalization of higher education, the mobility of young researchers and professionals, and the strengthening of links between academia, research, innovation, and society.
