Constantinos Bliatkas

Constantinos Bliatkas (born 27 September 1957 in Naousa) is a journalist, author, radio and television presenter, and screenwriter. He holds a degree in Biology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He also studied media management and organization.

He has served as General Director of ERT3 (2010–2013), General Director of the Cultural Society of Entrepreneurs of Northern Greece (2013–2018), editor-in-chief of the newspapers Thessaloniki, Macedonia, and Exousia, director of 102fm of ERT3, and Deputy Director of International Programs and Partnerships at ERT3. He has worked with the newspapers To Vima and Ethnos, the digital media News24/7 and Protagon.gr, and the magazine Economic Review. He has collaborated with the BBC and with foreign print media, while in the field of educational reporting he completed three decades of work.

He was the presenter of well-known public television programs such as “Me Mia Triti Matia” (1995–2006), “Ek tou Plision” (2006–2008 and 2016–2017), “Oi Parees tis Thessalonikis” (2006–2011), “Defteri Anagnosi” (2008–2010), among others. He designed and supervised the production of the ERT3 documentary series “The Century of Thessaloniki.”

He has written scripts and prose for musical performances and has served as narrator and screenwriter for documentary productions of the Cultural Society.

He has written 15 books (biographies, essays, and historical retrospectives), including “The Conscience of the University of Thessaloniki” (Epikentro, 2023), featuring extensive, original interviews with distinguished university professors (Emmanouil Kriaras, Dimitris Maronitis, Ioannis Manole­dakis, Nikolaos Moutsopoulos, Christos Tsolakis) that shed light on the historical background of AUTH and highlight the political discourse and daily aspirations of emblematic educators.
