He specialises in Digital Medical Education and Learning Technologies and serves as Laboratory/Teaching Staff in the School of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As a member of the Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation, he focuses on Digitally Enhanced Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Education, Pedagogy, and Teaching Methodology. His empirical research focuses on the educational orientation related to the pedagogical use of Digital Media and Artificial Intelligence. He is involved in the design, development, and implementation of international postgraduate programs. He has expertise in creating Teaching Scenarios that address topics in Medical Education and Medical Physics, particularly concerning vulnerable social groups and healthy ageing, using intelligent, supportive digital technologies. In line with his scientific and research interests, he explores issues related to Lifelong Learning and Teacher Education. He is the Coordinator of the “Discovering the Future at Aristotle” Program, which connects Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Education. He has taught in various university departments, including Theoretical Sciences (Department of Philosophy and Education), Natural Sciences (Departments of Physics and Chemistry), and Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Additionally, he has taught in the postgraduate program in Health and Social Care Management and Organisation (at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Democritus University of Thrace) and in the European Joint Master’s Program ManagiDiTH (Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector).
